Teke Wiggin's Research Receives ASA Honors

August 20, 2025

Congratulations to Teke Wiggin on a series of recent honors recognizing his impactful research. His paper, “Weaponizing the Workplace: How Algorithmic Management Shaped Amazon’s Antiunion Campaign in Bessemer, Alabama,” received an honorable mention from the 2025 Labor and Labor Movements (LLM) Section's Distinguished Student Paper Award committee. Following this recognition, he was invited to share his findings more broadly through summaries published in two prominent platforms: Work in Progress, an ASA blog supported by several ASA sections, and Power at Work, a blog dedicated to promoting labor and economic justice research to union activists, labor journalists, and academics.
