Sino Esthappan Awarded ASU/NSF Grant and ABF Fellowship

Congratulations to Sociology’s Sino Esthappan for two recent honors.
First, Arizona State University awarded Sino its Law and Science Dissertation Grant for his project, "The Negotiation of Algorithmic Risk Scores in US Pretrial Hearings."
Second, the American Bar Foundation selected Sino for its ABF/Northwestern University Doctoral Fellowship Program in Law & Social Science. The fellowship’s purpose is to further research which “shows promise of a major contribution to social scientific understanding of law and justice.”
