Outstanding Second-Year Paper 

Co-Winner: Iolanthe Brooks, for her paper “Governing Through Movement: Prison Transfers and the Experience of Within-System Shuffling” 

Co-Winner: Jack Votava, for his paper “In Praise of Debt? Expectational Power and the Causes of Financial Crisis in Argentina”

Winner: Megan Whitaker, for her paper “From “Scared” to “Evil” Ground: Remembering the Haystack Prayer Meeting at Williams College from 1806-2006,” which was presented at the American Sociological Association Conference in Montreal, August 2024
